WARNING

Professional Installation Required

For the purposes of these instructions, a "qualified professional" is a certified mechanic, vehicle technician, or wheel and tyre specialist who possesses the necessary training, experience, and tools to ensure correct installation and compliance with local regulations.

Where wheel fixings are supplied, they are selected using the best reasonably available vehicle and wheel fitment data, including vehicle thread specification and wheel seating requirements. However, vehicle specifications, modifications, previous repairs, and other variations mean that we cannot verify the exact configuration of every individual vehicle. The supplied fixings must therefore be checked by a qualified professional before installation to confirm that they are suitable for the specific vehicle and wheel, including thread size and pitch, seating type, length, and sufficient thread engagement.

Below are examples of key checks that must be performed by a qualified professional, including but not limited to:

For Alloy (or Steel) Wheels:

  • Ensure the load rating, PCD (pitch circle diameter), width, diameter, offset, and centre-bore (diameter and depth) are correct for the vehicle.
  • Confirm that tyres to be fitted are road-legal and meet local regulations, and that they are the correct type, load rating, speed rating, diameter, width, and profile for both the vehicle and the wheel.
  • Before fitting tyres, check for adequate clearance for brake, suspension, and steering components, and bodywork. Tyres must only be fitted once correct fitment and clearance have been confirmed.
  • Verify that all wheel fixings are suitable for both the vehicle and the wheel, including the correct thread size, thread pitch, seating type, length, and sufficient thread engagement.
  • For vehicles using wheel bolts, ensure the bolts do not bottom out in the hub or interfere with any brake or hub components.
  • Where capped (closed-end) wheel nuts are used, ensure there is clearance between the end of the wheel stud and the closed end of the wheel nut when the wheel is securely clamped.
  • Ensure tyres are inflated in accordance with both tyre and vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • After tyres have been fitted and inflated, re-check clearance for brake, suspension, and steering components, and bodywork to ensure safe operation under full steering and suspension travel.
  • Before installation, ensure all fixings and threaded holes are clean, free from debris, and undamaged.
  • Ensure fixings are torqued to the manufacturer’s specifications upon installation.
  • Ensure fixings are re-torqued after the first 50 miles (80 km) of driving.
  • Advise the customer to stop driving immediately if any vibrations, noises, or handling issues become apparent, and have the installation re-checked by a qualified professional.
  • Confirm that tyres are road-legal and meet local regulations, and that they are the correct type, load rating, speed rating, diameter, width, and profile for both the vehicle and the wheel.
  • Before installation, confirm that the tyre size and profile do not cause interference with bodywork, suspension, or steering components under full steering and suspension travel.
  • Ensure tyres are inflated in accordance with both tyre and vehicle manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Before installation, ensure all fixings and threaded holes are clean, free from debris, and undamaged.
  • Ensure that fixings are torqued to the manufacturer's specifications upon installation.
  • Ensure fixings are re-torqued after the first 50 miles (80 km) of driving.
  • Advise the customer to stop driving immediately if any vibrations, noises, or handling issues become apparent, and have the installation re-checked by a qualified professional.
  • Ensure that spigot rings are the correct diameter for both the wheel and vehicle hub.
  • Confirm that they sit flush into the wheel with no protrusion.
  • Ensure the PCD (pitch circle diameter) is correct for your application.
  • Verify that the centre-bore diameter and depth allow the spacer to sit flat against both the vehicle hub and the wheel hub face.
  • Before installation, ensure all fixings and threaded holes are clean, free from debris, and undamaged.
  • Verify that all wheel fixings are suitable for the vehicle, spacer and wheel, including the correct thread size, thread pitch, seating type, length, and sufficient thread engagement.
  • Ensure fixings are torqued to the manufacturer's specifications upon installation.

  • Ensure both PCDs are correct for the application.
  • Confirm that the centre-bore diameter and depth allow the PCD adapter to sit flat against both the vehicle hub and the wheel hub face.
  • Before installation, ensure all fixings and threaded holes are clean, free from debris, and undamaged.
  • Verify that all wheel fixings are suitable for the vehicle, adapter and wheel, including the correct thread size, thread pitch, seating type, length, and sufficient thread engagement.
  • Ensure fixings are torqued to the manufacturer's specifications upon installation.
  • Ensure fixings are re-torqued after the first 50 miles (80 km) of driving.

4. Product Compatibility and Fitting Kits

Product Compatibility

Product and vehicle application information is based on vehicle and product data reasonably available to us at the time. Vehicle specifications, components and configurations may vary by model, year, production date, specification, market, previous modification or other factors.

Any compatibility information, application data, recommendation or advice provided by us does not replace the requirement for the Product to be checked against the individual vehicle before installation or use.

Where you provide us with vehicle information, including registration number, make, model, year, specification or other information, you are responsible for ensuring that the information supplied is complete and accurate and for informing us of any relevant modifications or non-standard components which may affect compatibility or fitment.

All Products must be inspected and, where appropriate, test-fitted by a qualified professional before final installation or use. The qualified professional must verify that the Product supplied is of the correct specification and is compatible with the particular vehicle and intended application.

Where applicable, compatibility checks must include dimensions, load rating, clearances, mounting or fixing requirements and any other characteristics relevant to the safe installation and use of the Product.

If any Product is found to be incompatible, incorrect or unsuitable, do not install or use it and contact us before installation or use.

Fitting Kits and Wheel Fixings

Where a fitting kit (including wheel nuts, bolts, studs, spigot rings or other fitting components) is supplied or recommended by us, it is selected using vehicle and product application data reasonably available to us at the time of supply.

The supply or recommendation of a fitting kit does not remove the requirement for the qualified professional to verify that the fitting components actually supplied are of the correct specification and compatible with the particular vehicle and wheel before installation.

Fitting kits and fitting components may be sourced from different manufacturers. Unless a particular brand or manufacturer is expressly stated as forming part of the Product specification, the brand, manufacturer, appearance or packaging of fitting components supplied may vary, provided that the component supplied is intended to meet the relevant specification and application.

The qualified professional must carry out the compatibility and installation checks set out in our Safety Instructions before the Products are used.

If any supplied fitting component is found to be incompatible, incorrect or unsuitable, do not install or use it and contact us before installation.

We will not be responsible for damage or other issues resulting from the installation or use of an incompatible Product, fitting kit or fitting component where the incompatibility should reasonably have been identified during the required professional compatibility and fitment checks.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

We provide a 12-month warranty that the wheels are free from defects in materials and workmanship. If, after investigation, a wheel is found to be defective in terms of coating or structure, we will replace or repair it free of charge. This does not include the cost of returning the wheels for inspection, except where otherwise required by your statutory rights.

Certain wheel models are supplied under manufacturer-approved arrangements for use within specific regulated motorsport championships. These approvals apply only within those controlled supply agreements. Outside of these specific arrangements, or without our prior approval in writing, all Products are supplied for normal road use only.

Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits your statutory rights.

9. Warranty – Other Products

We warrant that any other Products purchased from us are of satisfactory quality and fit for their common purposes.

To initiate a warranty claim for other Products, contact us at instructions@nuts4wheels.com or call +44 (0)1363 775361, providing proof of purchase and details about the issue.

If you become aware of a suspected defect, fitment issue, unusual vibration, noise, loosening, damage or other condition which may affect safety, you must stop using the affected Product and have it checked before further use.

• Installed where the compatibility and installation checks required by our Safety Instructions have not been carried out.

Products must not be drilled, machined, ground, enlarged, re-threaded or otherwise modified to achieve fitment unless expressly authorised by us in writing.

Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits your statutory rights.

10. Liability and Indemnity

Products must be installed by a qualified professional. If they are not, you use the Products at your own risk. We accept no liability for issues resulting from improper installation by unqualified individuals to the fullest extent permitted by law.

The supply or recommendation by us of a Product or fitting kit does not remove the requirement for the compatibility and installation checks specified in these Terms and Conditions and our Safety Instructions.

Our maximum liability for any losses you suffer is limited to the purchase price of the Products and any foreseeable losses arising directly from our breach. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as loss of income, business, profits, or contracts) to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter for which it would be unlawful to limit or exclude liability.

Other than the warranties expressly provided, all other warranties are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We take reasonable steps to keep your order and payment details secure. However, you provide such information at your own risk, and we are not liable for unauthorised access unless caused by our negligence.
